Executive Team
Grant Broadbent - Managing Director 
A 30-year IT industry veteran specialising in large computer systems, Grant has worked in a wide range of consulting and sales roles for NCR/Teradata, Oracle, Prism Solutions and EMC.
Grant has been involved in sales and delivery of Data Warehousing solutions since the late 1980s and has worked with NZ's most innovative companies in the telecommunications, financial services, and retail sectors.
Grant Hunkin - Consulting Partner
Grant has over 15 years experience delivering IT solutions in New Zealand and abroad. For most of that time he has specialised in strategic planning, management and implementation of complete Business Intelligence solutions.
Grant has a consummate knowledge of the Business Intelligence industry and offers broad experience in many business sectors including insurance, airline, retail, finance, forestry and energy utilities.
Before joining Stellar, Grant was the Business Intelligence Practice Lead for HP New Zealand.
John McDermott - Consulting Partner
John has extensive experience in designing, building and managing Business Intelligence solutions.
Prior to establishing Stellar, he held senior consulting positions with Hewlett Packard and CapGemini New Zealand, and worked in various Business Intelligence roles across the UK and Asia.
John’s strong technical background and excellent leadership abilities have seen him work with some of New Zealand’s leading companies in sectors including dairy, electricity, telecoms, and airlines.
Travis Barker - Consulting Partner
Travis has focused on delivering Business Intelligence solutions for market leaders in the utilities, insurance, banking, FMCG, motoring and New Zealand local government sectors since 2003. Travis focuses on the architecture and delivery of high-end Business Intelligence solutions and has most recently led significant data warehousing and reporting implementations at two of the country's largest electricity retailers and a prominent health foods manufacturer.
Travis has a first class honours degree in information systems and post-graduate qualifications in business and management.
He has been a passionate rugby player for much of his life, but has now hung up his boots to spend more time with his young family. Snowboarding and water sports are favoured past-times, when time allows.
